PIA Industrial Zone is in the Maritime Region, 27 KM from the centre of Lome, along National Road 1 (NR 1) leading to Burkina Faso. The Phase 1 site is located east of this road, on the lands of the village of Akplome attached to the district of Adetikope, Municipality of Agoe-Nyive 6 in the Prefecture of Agoe-Nyive (formerly the Prefecture of Zio). The PIA Phase 2 site is located 9.7 KM east of the Phase 1, on the lands of the Municipality of Zio 1 (Cantons of Dalavé and Kpomé). The two phases will be connected by a 260 m wide Industrial Corridor with a new road and transmission line also connecting Adetikope to Kpomé. The development of PIA site as Phase 1 and Phase 2 interconnected areas aims to achieve the objectives assigned to the Project, which are among others: Contribution to the implementation of a large national economic development plan transcribed in the National Development Plan (PND) 2018-2022 through 3 axes to:

  • Axis 1: The establishment of a logistics platform and a financial hub of excellence.
  • Axis 2: The development of centers for agricultural processing, manufacturing, and extractive industries.
  • Axis 3: The consolidation of social development and the strengthening of inclusion mechanisms.
The Government of Togo and ARISE IIP are working in public private partnership to develop integrated industrial platforms and logistics parks under the name Plateform Industrial Adetikope SAS (PIA). PIA has completed Phase 1 project which is the Togo’s premier economic zone; located 27 KM from the country’s capital, Lomé. PIA will spread over an area of 878 Ha and consists of an integrated industrial and logistics zone with improved utility facilities such as water, electricity, connecting roads and waste management Plants.
