The Ministry of Promotion and Investment in Togo and DMA Invest (Developing Market Invest) jointly set up the UK-Togo Trade and Investment Mission with the aim of connecting state institutions and the private sector with UK investors.

This event took place on June 18, 2024 at the headquarters of Ecobank ETI Lomé. This B2B event was about upscaling investment opportunities in Africa to ensure that Africa meets the expectations in terms of agriculture, industry, logistics and transport demand.

During the event, the opening speech was given by:

Main topic of the roundtable event was ‘Investing in Togo – Sustainable Investment Opportunities’. The Investment Promotion Agency (API-ZF) presented its global vision for attracting international capital. It also outlined the key projects intended to stimulate economic growth and development in Togo.

This roundtable was a key moment for PIA to showcase our success stories, our engagement towards the industrialization of Togo and how our ICD has been helpful for the hinterland’s countries’ trade.

There was also an opportunity to explore the range of products offered by UK Export Finance in relation to the private sector. This presentation has been done by Ecobank, the ECOWAS Bank for Investment and Development (EBID) and the West African Development Bank (BOAD), leading regional institutions dedicated to financing of national and regional development projects and programs.

Session was moderated by Moyeme Baniab, Financial Advisor – Minister of Finance.

On June 19th, there was a visit to government and private projects in the country carried out by the delegation. For PIA, this momentum served as an international window for illustrating that the industrial zone is willing to welcome all investors around the world in Togo.
